Too Flamboyant? me?…never……

Good Morning – the sun is blazing here and we are in for possibly the hottest day of the year! about time if you ask me – Lots of washing to do and I will get it all dry today outside! Don’t you love the smell of fresh laundry?

We have lots of gardening to do as well, when we moved house we inherited a beautiful established garden that has a very natural country house feel to it, unfortunately it also has lots of weeds as well so today will be a washing and weeding day!

To my make….this card I made for my youngest boy to give to a girl form his school. He is a little bit sweet on her and when I had finished the card he told me it was ‘….a little flamboyant…..she isnt really a girly girl at all Mum’.  I think he needs to get to know her a little better – he certainly wants to! – as both her Mum and her Gran both said ‘…she is still such a girly girl, one minute very grown up and the next still our little girl’….so there you go! and besides…are there really many girls out there who don’t like a little bit of fluff and girliness really? just every now and again?…I hope not…that would be a real shame!

Here is my make which will appear on That Craft Place Blogspot Design Team for the Ribbons and Lace challenge…..IMG_2566wtmk

It is, ofcourse, the lovely Magnolia stamp with stars, I love this stamp as it is so versatile, I have started doing it in Christmas colours and it still works really well.I have also used a Magnolia Doo Hickeys die cut for the two little tags at the top left – when folded they are a heart shape and I hand wrote Happy Birthday on these, My son was apoplectic and said they had to go, couldn’t give a card with hearts on!!!! –  and they have hand rolled flowers and seam binding ribbon, beneath the stamped image, which was die cut with Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8, is a Joy Crafts circle die cut and a heart shaped paper doily – good job my boy didn’t spot this! – in the bottom right corner is a tag of cotton lace ribbon, there is a little hessian on there too. I coloured the image with Distress Ink and water on a watercolour paper background.

I do hope you like this, almost all the products can be found at That Craft Place and I know that Lisa, Danny and Lynn will be delighted to help you find exactly what you are looking for to complete your project.  When you have finished why not share it with us over at That Craft Place Inspiration Blog over at FaceBook? we love to see all the fabulous makes….

Until next time…remember to stamp your place in the world! xxx
