Hi there Ladies….It is time for another Challenge over at That Craft Place. This time we have a Sewing challenge – real or faux. Now this really was a challenge for me. I have a sewing machine but it is one of those special ones that gathers dust in the corner!!!!! Anyway, since the weather outside appears to have turned autumnal my mind was thinking in terms of Christmas. I dragged out all the little bits and bobs that I have saved up. The image is one I have had for a little while which reminded me of one of my boys, and I had seen another project on Pinterest using the same image which was lovely. I coloured it using Coloursoft Pencils which I think has to be my favourite medium. The card stock is a mix of Bazzill and Figgy Pudding by Basic Grey. The little flowers are hand made using a Sizzix die – Susan’s Garden and I suspect that I will be using that lots this winter… at first the small pieces looked fiddly but were remarkably easy to work with and then put together. All the other little bits and bobs are ones that were in my craft stash. I know that most of these things can be got at That Craft Place so if you want to make a crd like this yourself, please head on over there and the Girls and Danny will be happy to help you find what you are looking for. So for the card….
The stitching on my challenge card is faux….But it is everywhere!! And the cinnamon sticks are real and smell devine. I know that MB has got an eye on this card for his Mum – the smell when she opens the envelope will be lovely and I can see me using these on lots of cards this year. Why not come on over to That Craft Place and join us for the challenge and don’t forget to share what you make – we love to see your designs.
Until next time….remember to stamp your place in the world. xxx
Just a quick heads up – the Wonderful Pion Design company have a fabulous giveaway here I love this company and their beautiful papers. I have quite few but rarely use them – sadly I tend to just look at them and then put them away again!!!
I am on holiday at the end of this week so will make a huge effort to make a project using these papers so you can see for your self how lovely they are….so watch this space…..
Until next time ….remember to stamp your place in the world!
Hello there Ladies – Lovely to be chatting with you again. It is once again that time of the month…..yes the That Craft Place Challenge and this time the challenge is Monochrome…..now I intended to try and do a second card but unfortunately I went out with my husband last night for a rare night out together. I think the last time we managed to get out together was February!!!! Anyway, I am afraid I am a little worse for wear today. I ask no sympathy as it was totally self inflicted, but I have not been good all day. I am taking that as a positive as I understand that if I felt good the morning after drinking it can imply that I am accustomed to that level of alcohol….the way I feel today I don’t think ANYONE could get accustomed to that much alcohol!!!!! That explanation is my way of apologising for this post being late too……
Okay onto my DT piece for That Craft Place challenge. The theme is Monochromatic so that meant my colour palette was severely curbed, and I really wanted to try and make a Christmas card as I am falling behind with those too….so here is my card….
The Card stock is all Bazzill and the shapes are created using the fabulous Spellbinders Bracket borders 1 – I remember ordering these from Lisa at That Craft Place and being soooooo excited when they arrived!!! They are brilliant!
So Ladies – remember to give Lisa and the Crew a shout when looking for the right supplies for your Monochrome project – They are always delighted to help out at That Craft Place! and why not upload your finished project to That Craft Place blog and share it with us all?
Until next time remember to stamp your place in the world! xxx
