It has been an odd couple of weeks here – as I have not been well have been pretty much house bound but June is looking like a very busy month indeed. My youngest son finished school on 27th May for good – just got his A level exams to get through and that is the ned of an era. I will become an empty nester as he heads off to University in October. While they say that life begins again at forty I actually believe it begins again as soon as the children head off to start their own new chapters. I see lots of crafty time on the horizon….
Meanwhile….Its challenge time here at

Such a long time….
Oh My, hasnt it been a long time?!?!?! It has been the strangest of years with lots of good or great things happening and some not so great but isnt that just how life is?
We are now starting a brand new and fresh year! and with it some brand new and fresh projects….so with out further ado here are my very frist 2015 projects for That Craft Place….
The theme over at That Craft Place is Monochrome….I was really stumped as it is not something I do very often but a friend asked me to make her an engagement card and these were the colours she chose, I cut the hearts and words out on my Cameo and used some glimmer card stock and and odd papers I had to make the backgrounds.
For this second card – YES! Two from me!!!! – I have used one the the fabulous Sugar and Spice images with so many pinks it is hard to count them all! I love these images which are available from the ETSY store HERE (just click the link) and right now if you use the code TWENTYFIVENY you will also get 25% off your order!!!! What a bargain! Why not head on over, chose your digi and then share your finished project over on That Craft Place blog? Link HERE and http://thatcraftplaceblog.blogspot.co.uk. The theme is Monochrome…go on oyu know you can do it!!!!

And for the start of the 2nd Birthday Celebrations I chose the Eva and Deacon image from Bugaboo Stamps (Link here) and teamed it with some rather delicious paper from Stampin’ Up!, a brilliant stamp and die cut sets, again from Stampin’ Up! and one of my all time favourite die cuts – the heart pennant from LaLa Land! The image is coloured with copics and I think it conveys HAPPY! which is what I really wanted for the Celebration challenge.

Well here we are again – weather been a bit kinder and I have managed to get out into my garden and clear up some weeds – just the rest of the garden to work on now!!! and of course I am not working this weekend but it’s heaving down outside! makes me wish for sunnier climes….
The challenge! Yup it’s time for the men and boys and with Fathers day coming next month I am going to need all the inspiration I can get…. here are my entries….
So this first card features one of the amazing Visible Image stamps – Edgar. He is a such a dashing chap. I love his sartorial elegance with the cane….I teamed this up with some Tim Holtz tickets, Stampin’ Up! card stock , cotton ribbon and DSP and some gorgeous Bo Bunny paper. this is called Cambridge stripe and is the flip side – they always have two fantastic sides making it usually hard to choose which side to have upper most – but in this case I totally love the flip side! I used Pro Markers to colour Edgar in with.
This second card I made as a Thank you for the trainer we have had for six weeks at my new job. Again it is a Visible Image stamp – Edward – he is about my favourite I think. I wanted to team colours up for this project as I had coloured the image with my Tim Holtz Distress inks before I chose the paper etc so here we have Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, Stampin Up card-stock, ribbon and twine, Bo Bunny Boo Hooligans paper, a Joy Crafts die cut and emboss paper scroll and some metallic findings. Phew!!! The edges are finished with some gilding wax to shine up the edges and tie in the metallic finish. I really enjoyed this one and the guy who received loved it too which is always the aim!
These cards are for the ‘For the Men’ challenge over at That Craft Place and you can give the girls a ring for the products where they will be delighted to help you choose your favourites! Why not have a go yourself and share your makes over at That Craft Place blog? We would love to see what you make!
Until next time….remember to stamp your place in the world! xxx
