Doggone….Another crafty challenge….

Hello there Ladies – yep – it’s that time of the week again. This weeks challenge was to use an animal.  No pressure then. Don’t have any animal images at all. Well at least I didn’t think so, then I found this image of a lovely doggy and his best pal.

This is a Mo Manning image and I have used pro-markers to colour it. This is my design for Lisa Ditzie Horton over at the That Craft Place – I do hope you like it….

The card stock is Stampin Up Soft Suede, the paper, the ribbon, the ‘fluff’ (technical term for when I dont know what to call it) and the fantastic zipper piece all came from That Craft Place. The challenge is Animals so why not join us and share your wonderful designs…..

Until next time…..remember to stamp your place in the world….xxx

Oh Wedding Belles….

So here we are again with another challenge ahead of me…this time it is a Wedding theme!  If there is one thing I dont do it is weddings. Weddings and babies!!!!  So thats two things….I think it is because my boys are not yet at the age where they or their friends are having babies or getting married. It will come I know but I am savouring it in the meantime. However, I do have a lovely project to share with you for the That Craft Place blog challenge and here it is….

Wedding explosion box
Wedding explosion box

I really enjoyed making this box project – The base box is made out of pearl card stock – its a little bit thicker than normal at 300gsm so make brilliant boxes.  I have then used Sahara Sand card stock and seam binding ribbon from Stampin Up, the die cuts and flowers are Joy Crafts Floral flourishes and corner die cuts.  The glass vials came from That Craft Place and I filled them with frantage pieces which were also mixed with clear embossing powder to highlight the centre of the butterflies and the flowers. The butterflies were punched out of pearl card stock using a Stampin’ Up butterfly punch.  Here are another couple of images….

I hope that you like this project and encourage you to join us for the Wedding theme challenge over at That Craft Place challenge blog.  I can’t wait to see what you make for the Wedding Challenge…..See you very soon….X

This is my first ‘That Craft Place’ design team project and I am so excited to have been chosen to be part of the design team. It is a daunting project with so many talented people around and so many different aspects to crafting to be having a go at but here goes …. and I truly hope you like it.  Whilst I have made this card specifically for the challenge – which is ANYTHING GOES by the way!!! – I had already spotted this image somewhere else and loved but thought I might have to wait until the winter months came back around to use it. One of my favourite things about crafting is the colouring in – I like lots of different media for this but my current favourite is marker pens…
