Oh Happy Days…

It has been an odd couple of weeks here – as I have not been well  have been pretty much house bound but June is looking like a very busy month indeed. My youngest son finished school on 27th May for good – just got his A level exams to get through and that is the ned of an era.  I will become an empty nester as he heads off to University in October. While they say that life begins again at forty I actually believe it begins again as soon as the children head off to start their own new chapters.  I see lots of crafty time on the horizon….

I told you I would come back soon….

Hahaha! I told you I would be back soon – my crafting energy is better than it has been for a while so i have been colouring quite a bit.  That means I have quite a lot of images ready to turn into projects.

I am saving a couple for the DT but here is something I made for one of my close friends for her 29th (ahem!!!) birthday – the image is a Mo Manning one called Penelope’s Party Wagon – it has fast become a favourite!!!

I have used a soft spotty paper  as I felt that this complemented the red of Penelope’s hair, the image was coloured with copics which I fell out of love with for a teensy weensy little while but are back on my crafty agenda!

Celebrations!!!!

Yes indeed that is what the Celebration AND the challenge is over at Love to Create (Link Here) this time – Birthdays and Celebrations.  Love to Create are Celebrating 2nd Birthday – WOOHOO!!!!!  Happy 2nd Birthday Love to Create!!!!

And for the start of the 2nd Birthday Celebrations I chose the Eva and Deacon image from Bugaboo Stamps (Link here) and teamed it with some rather delicious paper from Stampin’ Up!, a brilliant stamp and die cut sets, again from Stampin’ Up! and one of my all time favourite die cuts – the heart pennant from LaLa Land! The image is coloured with copics and I think it conveys HAPPY! which is what I really wanted for the Celebration challenge.

Sparkle and Shine

Hello there!   Yes I am managing to keep up to date!  i am shocked too but I found this amazing tool which I didnt really understand before: ‘schedule post’ – now I know what to do with it, I should be able to keep up to date a bit better!!! Everyday is a learning day!

Ok – it is that time of the month again and that means – Cards Galore Encore!!!! YAY!!!! (Link here) 

I adored colouring this and creating the background – I was so pleased with the vibrancy – the Challenge was to use Sparkle and Glitz – the image is from Scrappers Delights (Link here)and coloured with Copics,  the background is made using Lavinia Stamps (Link here) and very lightly coloured using Copics, the Sparkle is created with some Jones Tones and Glamour Dust.

A quick Post (Poste Haste ..perhaps?)

As you know I don’t enter challenges – almost never – and only share my projects on here with you girls but as part of my New Year resolutions I have decided to blow my own trumpet a bit …only a very tiny bit mind!!! I have decided to enter some challenges.  Lots of my crafty pals say “oh, I just won this….”, Or “I got first place at…” and I confess to a little craft envy…so here is my very first one – I am entering this “love” card using the Little Miss Muffet digi stamp and coloured with copics (yeah, you would have guessed that, right?)…. So the card is going to be entered for the Love challenge over at Little Miss Muffet stamps (Link to blog here), (Link to shop here)….

The papers, flowers, die cutters (Spell Binders), die cut hearts and cheese cloth are all available from That Craft Place and I know that they will be delighted to give you a hand if there is something you are particularly looking for so why not give them a shout? (Link here).
