A quick Post (Poste Haste ..perhaps?)

As you know I don’t enter challenges – almost never – and only share my projects on here with you girls but as part of my New Year resolutions I have decided to blow my own trumpet a bit …only a very tiny bit mind!!! I have decided to enter some challenges.  Lots of my crafty pals say “oh, I just won this….”, Or “I got first place at…” and I confess to a little craft envy…so here is my very first one – I am entering this “love” card using the Little Miss Muffet digi stamp and coloured with copics (yeah, you would have guessed that, right?)…. So the card is going to be entered for the Love challenge over at Little Miss Muffet stamps (Link to blog here), (Link to shop here)….

The papers, flowers, die cutters (Spell Binders), die cut hearts and cheese cloth are all available from That Craft Place and I know that they will be delighted to give you a hand if there is something you are particularly looking for so why not give them a shout? (Link here).

So this is me ‘having a go’ and I shall endeavour to ‘have  a go’ next week too – check back and see what I come up with next time….

Colour Fest…..

My goodness but time flies when you are having fun…..As many of you know I was starting a new job at the beginning of January, unfortunately the date got put back to February…allowing me lots of FREE time to do lots of those jobs I am always intending on doing…like cleaning and tidying cupboards etc.  Yes, I know, I only did a few of those things, you know me so well. BUT, I did do lots of crafting and colouring so here goes

This is for the Love to Create Blog (Link here) – the Challenge here was a side step card and a fabulous image by ArtbyMiran (Link here) -this was great to colour – I used Copics – there is also the snowflake dies from JoyCrafts as well as die cuts and sentiment from Stampin’ Up too.

Next up  is a Colour Challenge from That Craft Place Blog (Link here)  We had a palette of colours to chose from and I thought, since I had a little time on my hands I would try something a little different from my usual! Lots of things here – some wooden letters, hand rolled flowers, pearl swathes,  everything came from That Craft Place so give them an email or pop over to the online shop and they will help you pick out items to help you with your next project!

For the Love to Create Blog (Link here) challenge Use Buttons I chose this sweet little image by Stampart by Catherine (Link here) – I really liked the sweet simplicity of this -again coloured with Copics and teamed up with some hand rolled flowers and teeny tiny buttons from Stampin Up!

Again for Love to Create Blog (Link here) challenge is this next image – it was the 100th blog Challenge and incorporated a sketch this time. The image is coloured with Copics (there is definitely a theme here!!!!) and the image comes from Scrapper’s Delight, titled  Meow Minxy 1 (Link here). I really enjoyed colouring this – the hair was quite challenging.

And talking of challenging – as you know I am part of a colouring challenge group – here is my January image – 

This took me somewhere in the region of 8 hours to colour but I loved every single minute of it!!! I have another one finished but I will save it for another post.

I have continued to craft and have quite a few posts scheduled over the next couple of weeks so keep popping back to see what is going on and where!!!!

Phew…where did all that time go….

Hello Everyone – And a Happy and Healthy New Year to you!!!!

I cannot believe so much time has passed since I last blogged for you. There is quite a bit to catch up with so I suspect this will be a photo heavy post tonight….

First up – That Craft Place – first challenge for 2014 – Charming – so that means that we make our creation and use a charm somewhere in it….here is my project….

I have had this image for a little while and not been sure how or where to use it – I also had this delightful little charm of the airplane and suddenly I knew exactly what I was going to do with it. You might notice the rolled up zip in amongst the flowers here – had this for a while too and was very afraid it would look heavy but I actually think it has turned out okay!  The image is a Lily of the Valley one and it is coloured with Distress Inks. Okay….Next up – I joined Love to Create design team some time ago and frankly, for one reason and another I have not been pulling my weight there – a mixture of time and work and not being well with silly colds that seem to have floored me…so here is a selection of pictures from the recent challenges over there….in no particular order….

I hope you liked these – they are all Christmas themed and I know Christmas is over but…..I will continue to make Christmas type cards throughout the year as I found myself short of cards this year (pick a year when that doesnt happen!!!!).

Okay…and finally…As well as the existing two Design Teams I am proud to belong to I have also been invited onto the Cards Galore Encore design Team, so you should start seeing some links appear over the next few days over there on the right, as I start to get myself organised a bit with all that needs to be done. This is a brand new launch for this design team so head on over and take a look!  Unfortunately my first design for this team is not on the blog this time and this is because I was late getting it in – I have been pretty under the weather since 23rd December and managed to get so far behind with my projects that I am just now playing catch up. My apologies to the DT over at Cards Galore and my apologies also to you for my tardiness! New Years Resolution? Buck up,more vitamins, more fresh air, less colds and GET ORGANISED!!!!

Okay to round up – I will be posting much more regularly ie Weekly for Love to Create, fortnightly for That Craft Place and monthly for Cards Galore…you will be getting sick of me!!!  By the way…anywhere you see blue writing you can click on that as it will link you directly to the group mentioned!
